I was really happy recently to receive an enquiry for a vintage Supporto Task Chair from a valued client of mine.

I decided to use one of my oldest frames as a starting point. This would involve a sticker removal process followed by a multi-stage hand polish to restore the cast aluminium frame. All pins and gases were replaced along with the pads. On a project like this I always use authentic Supporto replacement parts which helps with vintage chairs in the future when decent provenance is required.

This example used Camira fabric in the colour Girder which is a kind of gun metal colour: essentially black, with grey-green tones.
